OnePlus Acknowledged The Green Line and Motherboard Problems

OnePlus has officially acknowledged the green lines on the display and motherboard problems that were reported in various models. Users have reported these issues through social media and other forums. The Company has also confirmed that it will investigate these problems and provide solutions to customers as soon as possible. 

The Coompany earlier revealed that devices suffering from these problems will get a one-time free screen replacement. Users will be given the option to upgrade their device or replace the screen. However, these devices should not have any other damage, such as falling or scratching. Apart from this, the brand also offers a lifetime display warranty. 

This policy also applies to smartphones that are more than a year old and are out of warranty. The software updates are believed to cause green lines and motherboard failures on OnePlus smartphones. In an interview with PhoneArea, OnePlus acknowledged the problems related to the OnePlus 9 and 8 series. 

On the other hand, the manufacturer has also acknowledged issues related to motherboard failure on select devices, but a software update does not cause this issued. If users face this issue, they will be given options ranging from device repair to a discount on a new OnePlus device.

OnePlus 13 Launch Date, Colors Design and Images Are Officially Confirmed

The most awaited flagship smartphone of 2024, OnePlus 13 will launch in China on October 31, 2024. This date has been officially confirmed. OnePlus 13 features the latest upgrade in terms of technology and may also come as a successor to OnePlus 12. It also features Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a new camera design and innovative software. 

OnePlus 13 Officially Confirmed Details

The OnePlus 13 will be available in three colour options White Dawn, Blue Moment and Obsidian Secret. The White Dawn variant uses the latest Silk Glass technology. The OnePlus 13 has a micro quad curved display on the front and a prominent circular camera module on the back panel that is reminiscent of the OnePlus 12. The camera island also includes three lenses and an LED flash unit arranged in a square shape. 

The “H” logo is also located next to the camera island. However, OnePlus has released some teasers for this latest design but has not confirmed the specifications. This new device can also have a 6.82 inch 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and BOE X2 screen. It can also support up to 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. 

The device can also include a 6000 mAh battery with 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging to power it. Apart from this, this device can rely on ColourOS 15 based on Android 15. For the camera, it will have a 32 MP front camera and a 50 MP triple rear camera setup at the backside. Additionally, it will also have a 0916T vibration motor, and an IP69 rating will also be available for dust and water resistance.

Thanks to its appearance on the camera benchmarking platform FV-5, some information about the OnePlus 13’s camera specifications has been revealed. The listing has revealed the camera capabilities of the upcoming OnePlus flagship, suggesting that users can expect high-level photography and videography. 

OnePlus 13 Camera Details Revealed

This upcoming OnePlus 13 device will debut in the market with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset this October. The listing revealed that the phone will have a 12.6 MP Main camera, which will likely be a 50 MP sensor and support 4-1 binned output. This lens could have a focal length of 24.6 mm and also support OIS.

It could also get a 72.5-degree field of view, a pixel size equal to 2.0µm, and exposure support of 1/12,801 to 42.0 seconds. Apart from this, it will also have a 50MP Sony LYT 808 sensor whose size is expected to be 1/1.3 inch. The device will have a 16 MP selfie camera, and it could also offer a 71.0-degree field of view and EIS stabilization. 


However, autofocus is not supported. Per the FV-5 listing, the OnePlus 13 could also support 4K video recording at 60fps. It will be a premium smartphone that makes it easy to capture smooth, high-quality videos. The presence of OIS and EIS will further enhance the stability of the videos. 

The OnePlus 13 will continue the brand’s tradition of offering strong camera capabilities, balancing high-end hardware with advanced software features. With its impressive 50 MP primary camera, powerful selfie sensor, and expected additional lenses, the OnePlus 13 will be a strong competitor in the flagship smartphone market.
