Sadly, OnePlus Open 2 will not be released in this year

The OnePlus Open 2 was expected to be launched this year, but the second-generation foldable has been indicated that it will not be launched this year. What is the reason for this? The company has not yet given any explanation. It is possible that its launch date may be released by the end of this year.

OnePlus launched its foldable smartphone early last year, which received positive feedback and became one of the best foldable devices globally. Sadly, there doesn’t seem to be any possibility of its successor being launched.

OnePlus Open 2 will not be released

It is speculated that the reason for this is that OnePlus rebadges Oppo devices, and the device that was rebranded as the OnePlus Open 2 has now been discontinued, which has caused problems in the launch of the OnePlus Open 2. Last year’s OnePlus Open was the rebranded Oppo Find N3.

Similarly, the OnePlus Pad was a rebranded Oppo Pad 2. The Oppo Find N5 for open devices—the hypothetical successor to last year’s Find N3—is also off the cards for now. However, the Oppo Find N5 has been given a release date of 2025 as it will be using Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. Meanwhile, OnePlus Open 2 is also expected to be launched.

However, this year, the global market will also release Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Mix Flip, and Google Pixel Fold. There is speculation that OnePlus Open 2 will also use Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, so its launch has been pushed forward.

It will be a successor to the upcoming OnePlus 12R and may also have the Snapdragon 8 Elite. It seems that the OnePlus 13R could be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 3

The OnePlus Ace 3 will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which can also support 100W fast charging. Under the hood, it can also have a 6500 mAh battery.

The device can have a 50 MP Sony IMX9 primary camera with a large sensor and a 50 MP telephoto camera. The screen of OnePlus Ace 3 can also include an OLED panel with BOE and 1.5K resolution. This device can rely on ColorOS 15-based Android 15 for software.
