To promote the adoption of 5G technology in India, Reliance Jio Infocomm and OnePlus, a well-known Chinese consumer electronics brand, have partnered strategically.

Through this partnership, OnePlus and Jio can combine their technological know-how and infrastructure to offer novel and cutting-edge 5G connectivity experiences. The two businesses will create a state-of-the-art 5G Innovation Lab as part of this endeavor to advance these projects.

A OnePlus representative said, “We are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, and our partnership with Jio underscores that dedication.” “This partnership is a big step toward a connected future where creativity has no bounds. Jio and OnePlus India together have the potential to completely transform the 5G market.

“With Jio True 5G now covering the entire country, accounting for 85% of India’s 5G deployment, we are ready to unveil transformative 5G experiences for our users,” a Jio representative confirmed, echoing this stance. An important step in that way is this collaboration with OnePlus.”

Under Chairman Mukesh Ambani’s leadership, Reliance Jio Infocomm has accomplished an amazing achievement by finishing the distribution of 5G technology throughout India, earning the title of the quickest 5G rollout internationally.

Since October 2022, Reliance Jio has been steadily building its 5G network infrastructure through Standalone (SA) architecture, gaining access to various wireless spectrum in several bands, including the highly sought-after 700 MHz band.

Jio is also aggressively seeking funding opportunities. In collaboration with the French bank BNP Paribas, the company is trying to secure money to buy 5G network equipment from the Swedish company Ericsson.

In addition, Jio plans to expand its presence in over 4,000 Indian towns and cities by the first half of 2024 with the launch of JioAirFiber, a 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) service. In September 2023, the service was first introduced in eight major cities, demonstrating Jio’s dedication to providing both urban and rural areas with high-speed access.
