It’s been a while since OnePlus introduced its next smartphone, the OnePlus 12R, in the Indian market. The device has arrived with some interesting features and specifications due to its much improved Trinity Engine, which helps in delivering enhanced functionality. In contrast, during its launch, the brand stated that the latest OnePlus 12R has been significantly incorporated with UFS 4.0 storage type support for better storage capability. With that now, Kinder Liu, the President and COO of OnePlus, has officially given the statement that the newly launched OnePlus 12R is going to use the UFS 3.1 storage type on all of its variants and not UFS 4.0.

Earlier, there were a lot of words about the OnePlus 12R to use the UFS 4.0 storage type on all of its variants, but simultaneously, the President and COO, Kinder Liu, clarified that due to a small error, the brand has announced the OnePlus 12R with the UFS 4.0 storage in some variants at the time of launch and confirms that now all the variants of the OnePlus 12R are being incorporated with the UFS 3.1 storage.

He further added his humble apology on behalf of the whole team for mentioning the OnePlus 12R with UFS 4.0 instead of UFS 3.1. Although the UFS 4.0 storage type is a much faster and enhanced version, the China-bound brand claimed that the device will offer excellent performance while reading and writing to memory with the UFS 3.1, as the OnePlus 12R has been enhanced with the new Trinity Engine features.

Kinder Liu also confirmed that the OnePlus 12R has been TUV SUD certified using the UFS 3.1 memory, and with that, he even assured that the customers can easily use the device for 48 months, resulting in keeping the OnePlus 12R a fast and smooth-performing device for a long time in the future.

OnePlus can bring the battery charging limit to its device with a new feature. However, users can manually toggle the charging limit according to their needs. Under this new feature, this 80% battery charging limit will turn on automatically when the device is charged for a long time. Thus, the user will get an extended battery in the device.

OnePlus is currently working on the Android 15 update, and this update will also bring a new battery setup, which can be a better option for the user. Under this feature, when the device is charged for a long time, it will automatically limit the charging to 80% of the battery. Then, the users can use it the whole day without any interruptions.

The “Charging Limit” feature has also been seen in OnePlus’s second Android 15 beta release. This feature is expected to be better for all OnePlus devices. However, the option will only work with permission and is meant for when the device is left plugged in for a very long time. According to this feature, devices will run for a long time, and users do not worry about the battery.

This is for users who always keep their phone connected to a charger. This charging limit will keep the battery level at 80% when plugged in. Moreover, this feature has yet to be rolled out, but it is expected to be seen in all OnePlus devices soon, and this feature is still in development.
