OnePlus has once again encountered a worrying problem. Earlier, the company replaced the screen in the OnePlus 10 Pro and OnePlus 11 through the free display replacement program. However, in this new program, some devices are experiencing dead motherboards, for which users are being asked to pay a hefty amount for replacements.

OnePlus 9 and 10 Series motherboard issue

According to some reports, several complaints have been registered this week, and it is expected that many OnePlus units have been damaged. The brand has informed us about a costly repair bill that is more than the actual price of the device. These devices include the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 6, OnePlus 9, and OnePlus 10 Pro.

The OnePlus service repair team has quoted Rs. 42,000 for replacing the dead motherboard, which is almost equal to the price of the new OnePlus 10 Pro. At the same time, if the brand is unable to provide proper assistance to solve these problems, then it can become a matter of concern in the long run. OnePlus has the most users worldwide, including India, and this may also affect the sales of the upcoming device.

Some affected users have also filed complaints through the OnePlus Community Forum, but OnePlus has not officially made any statement about these problems. It may take time for the company to find a solution to this problem as its number will also be high. Users are also demanding the replacement or freeing of their affected devices.

Many users shared problems like lag, overheating, and device shutdown. Apart from this, some handsets do not respond even after software updates, freeze for some time, and do not respond to charging. The device did not react when the user did a hard reset.

A leak has claimed that the company is working with retailers to resolve these problems and is making a to-do list for OnePlus devices 2024. The brand may solve these problems as soon as possible.
