Recently, OnePlus shared a post on its official community post regarding a big mistake that the brand made when it launched the latest OnePlus 12R. OnePlus’ president and COO, Kinder Liu, has made a humble apology concerning the mistake that has been made regarding the OnePlus 12R storage version, which is coming with UFS 3.1 storage type and not UFS 4.0. With that, the COO has further commented on the official community post, suggesting users return on the 15th of February 2024 to see what’s next.

During the launch of the OnePlus 12R, the brand announced that the OnePlus 12R would be coming with a UFS 4.0 storage type. Still, the president and COO of OnePlus, Kinder Liu, shared a humble apology on behalf of the team and clarified that due to some error, the brand has stated that the OnePlus 12R will sport UFS 4.0 storage type in some memory variant. He confirms that all the memory variants of the device will be incorporated with the UFS 3.1 storage type instead of UFS 4.0.

With that now, the COO has further posted a thread on the brand’s official community post that the brand is actively working on the OnePlus 12R device to offer a streamlined yet hassle-free, smooth experience to the OnePlus 12R buyers. He added that for new updates, he requested all OnePlus enthusiasts to kindly check back on the 15th of February, 2024.

However, Kinder Liu has yet to confirm what’s coming next, but the brand is possibly planning to bring something interesting. Since it’s a big mistake, which is unacceptable for a brand like OnePlus. Nevertheless, we hope that OnePlus might find ways to solve this situation for the sake of both the brand and the user.
